// chargeback rule. zero tolerance.
Initiating, encouraging, or facilitating a chargeback or payment reversal against any exchanger results in a permanent ban from this and any successor service, plus propagation of your Discord ID to allied exchange services. No warning. No first-strike. No appeal.
This rule applies to every payment method without exception, including PayPal Friends & Family, Cash App, Venmo, Zelle, bank transfer, and card payments. PayPal's buyer-protection system, bank dispute channels, and card-network chargeback processes are all covered. Opening a dispute through any of those channels after a crypto payout has been sent is treated identically to an intentional chargeback regardless of how it is labeled by the payment provider.
Summer Swap is a coordination platform for peer-to-peer fiat-crypto trades. The trades themselves are between you and a verified independent exchanger. This document explains what you can expect from the platform, what the platform expects from you, and what happens if either side breaks the rules.
01 Eligibility
- You must be old enough to enter into a contract in your jurisdiction.
- You must not be located in a jurisdiction that prohibits P2P fiat/crypto exchange or the use of the underlying payment methods.
- You must not be a sanctioned person or entity under any applicable list (OFAC, EU, UK, UN).
- You must not be using a stolen identity, stolen payment instrument, or funds that originate from criminal activity. If we have reasonable grounds to suspect any of these, your trade is voided, funds are held, and the matter is logged.
02 What Summer Swap is (and is not)
- Summer Swap is a coordination platform that connects clients with verified independent exchangers. We are not a counterparty to your trade.
- We do not custody fiat. We do not custody your crypto outside of bot-generated payout wallets, which are time-limited and 2FA-gated.
- We do not provide investment advice, tax advice, or legal advice. Any output of fee calculators or rate quotes is informational only.
- The relationship between you and your exchanger is direct. Disputes are mediated by Summer Swap staff using ticket transcripts and audit logs as the source of truth.
03 Conduct in tickets
- All trade-related communication must happen inside the ticket channel. If it didn't happen in the ticket, it didn't happen. We will not honor screenshots, DMs, or off-platform claims.
- Real exchangers never DM you first. If someone DMs you claiming to be an exchanger, they are an impersonator. Report and block.
- Do not move conversation off-platform under any circumstance. Off-platform settlement attempts are an immediate ban for both parties.
- Do not transmit child sexual abuse material, terror content, weapons financing, or any other illegal content. Such content is reported to law enforcement and your ticket is closed.
04 Payments and chargebacks
- You must use payment methods you legally control. You may not pay using funds you do not own, including a partner's account, a family member's account, or a borrowed account.
- All PayPal payments must be sent as Friends and Family. Goods and Services is not accepted for any trade. Sending as Goods and Services pauses your trade until you resend correctly; any fees PayPal charged on that payment are your responsibility. Sending as Goods and Services does not grant you any buyer-protection rights on this transaction, PayPal's buyer-protection mechanism is incompatible with P2P crypto exchange and its use to reverse a completed trade constitutes the same violation as any other chargeback.
- PayPal's "unauthorised transaction" dispute path is also covered by the chargeback rule. Filing an unauthorised-transaction claim after a crypto payout has been sent, even if PayPal labels it differently from a standard chargeback, is treated as an intentional reversal. The permanent-ban consequence applies without exception.
- You must disclose the source of funds when an exchanger asks. Lying about the source of funds is grounds for permanent ban and forfeiture of locked funds.
- Chargebacks, payment reversals, and disputes filed through any payment provider are absolutely prohibited. See the red box above. This rule covers PayPal (Friends and Family or otherwise), Cash App, Venmo, Zelle, bank ACH/wire dispute, and card-network chargeback. It has no exceptions, no warnings, and no appeal.
- If your bank or payment provider initiates a reversal without your explicit consent, you must notify Summer Swap immediately and cooperate fully in returning the funds to the exchanger. Failure to cooperate within 24 hours is treated as an intentional chargeback.
- If a chargeback or reversal occurs after a crypto payout has been sent, the full trade value is recovered from your locked balance, your future activity, or by referral to the relevant authorities for theft. Summer Swap reserves the right to publish your Discord ID on a shared ban list distributed to allied services.
05 Privacy and transparency
- Your Discord ID, username, avatar, trade amounts, and methods are public information on the landing site, leaderboard, and history page. Transparency is the trust signal here. By opening a ticket, you consent to this disclosure.
- Your wallet address, payment-method details (PayPal email, Cash App tag, bank info, card number), and ticket-channel contents remain private. These are never published, sold, or shared with third parties absent a lawful order.
- If you do not consent to your participation being publicly visible, do not open a ticket.
06 Fees
- Fees are deducted from the trade itself. You do not pay them separately.
- The fee schedule on the landing page is the live source of truth. PayPal Card is 20% because the chargeback risk on that method is real and the exchanger absorbs it.
- If our cost structure changes (network fees, payment-processor changes, regulatory changes), fees may be updated. The update applies to new tickets only. Open tickets quote at the original rate.
07 Refunds and disputes
- All trades are final once the crypto payout has been sent. There is no reversal path on a completed trade. If you believe an exchanger acted in bad faith, open a staff ticket in Discord. Staff will review the ticket transcript and audit log. The outcome of that review is final.
- If a trade is cancelled before the crypto payout is sent, for example, because neither party confirmed, or the exchanger did not claim within the window, fiat that was sent but not yet matched to a payout is returned subject to any network or payment-processor fees incurred.
- Refund requests submitted through PayPal, Cash App, your bank, or any external payment provider are not a legitimate dispute path here. They bypass the ticket-based review process, expose the exchanger to unrecoverable loss, and are treated as intentional chargebacks under section 04 regardless of the requester's stated reason.
- Summer Swap does not mediate disputes about price movements, rate fluctuations between ticket open and close, or third-party network fees. The rate quoted at ticket open is the rate that applies.
08 Termination
- Summer Swap may suspend or permanently ban any account at any time for violation of these terms, suspected fraud, suspected illegal activity, or behaviour that harms other users or exchangers.
- Bans for chargeback violations are permanent and are propagated to allied services. There is no appeal process for chargeback bans.
- If your account is suspended during an open trade, Summer Swap staff will determine the disposition of any locked funds based on the ticket transcript.
09 Limitation of liability
- Summer Swap is not liable for losses arising from exchanger misconduct, network failures, payment-provider failures, or force-majeure events outside our control.
- Our liability for platform errors is capped at the fee collected on the affected trade.
- We do not guarantee availability, uptime, or response times.
10 Changes to these terms
- We may update these terms. Material changes are announced in the Discord server. Continued use after the announcement date constitutes acceptance.
- The date at the top of this page is always the date of the last substantive edit.
